Younger generations in Malaysia prefer buying mattresses online now. Nowadays, many new mattress brands are selling mattress-in-a-box.
Sonno Mattress is considered to be the earliest online mattress brand in Malaysia. Then, we have Joey Mattress and Origin Mattress. And recently, there are more brands like Nosda, Tidor, Emma and more.
My goal today is to compare mattress brands objectively based on information provided by the respective official websites.
In this review, I only compare the most popular mattress models. For example, the Tidor brand has several different models with different price ranges, and I cannot accommodate all of them.

This is my third purchase with Sonno. My sleep quality has improved drastically since I started my Sonno journey with its mattress, followed by the pillows, then the mattress protector. Definitely the best bedding solution I would like to recommend to my parents and friends.

At first, I thought a soft mattress would be more comfortable than a firm mattress, but the truth is, soft mattresses make me feel more tired. This is because the mattress is too soft. As soon as I lay down, I was trapped inside, unable to provide proper support for the lumbar spine, and it was difficult to turn over.

The fact that Sonno doesn’t suppress negative reviews on its own website is something worth to be applauded. Typically, customers complain that the Sonno Original Mattress is too soft and sinks in too much.
Mattress firmness is mainly a matter of personal preference. The younger sleepers tends to prefer memory foam mattresses.
Joey Mattress Review

The night sleep on this mattress was next-level deep amazing sleep. It is so comfortable to sit and sleep on, it’s better than my expectations. I also did the cup test on the mattress and yes the cup did not topple hahaha, so yes, it definitely exceeds my expectations. And just love that it’s Malaysian-made also !! Love this product !!.

Overall OK mattress but may not be suitable for someone who has a big body frame and weight above average said > 90KG. The mattress is soft for me, I prefer something more firm. As many buyers pointed out there is little support around the edges
After using it for almost 2 weeks, there are a lot of warm nights and I still feel the mattress did not address my “cooling” needs.

Similar to Sonno, Joey doesn’t remove negative reviews on its website which is great. Due to its memory foam construction, it receives complaints about being too soft and not having enough support around the edges
Memory foam mattress is loved by some people and hated by others. Before ordering, it is best to try one yourself.
Origin Mattress Review

Before buying Origin Mattress, I was hot, woke up during the night, sore back and hip and never felt rested! But now honestly no pain, I sleep through and actually want to sleep in. We have a king and it’s perfect, no sagging or dipping. We are in our 50’s and sleeping better than decades before. Thank you Origin!.

I made an order and paid on 8 June 2022. The Scheduled delivery date is supposed to be between 21/6/2022-27/6/2022. As for today (7/7/2022) nobody contacted me for delivery. When I called the service line, nobody picked up the call. I emailed them to ask for status, just got a standard email. still no exact delivery date. so anybody wanted to buy it. better think twice…

Tidor has hundreds of positive reviews on Google Map. Tidor has a showroom which allows customers to try on different types of mattresses in the showroom to make a better decision. It is hard to test online mattresses in real life since most brands don’t have physical stores. So, thumbs up for Tidor Mattress.
Emma Original Review

I’ve always been a fussy sleeper: my sides hurt easily when I sleep so naturally, I’m all sorts of grumpy when I wake up. On my first night with the Emma mattress, it felt like I woke up from a light coma. No aches at all! If it’s comfortable to me, then it’s comfortable to everyone.
