SVICloud TV Box and EVPAD TV Box are both very popular Android TV boxes in Malaysia. They offer premium TV channels without a monthly fee.

However, please be reminded that using TV boxes preinstalled with pirated content apps is illegal in Malaysia.

On Shopee and Lazada, hundred of units of the SVICloud TV box are sold. They scored an average of 4.9 stars in many reviews.

Similar to EVPAD TV box, the SVI Cloud TV box offers many low-quality free gifts such as a soundbar, wireless keyboard, Bluetooth speaker, LAN cable and more.

This is usually a red flag in my opinion.

In other words, it implies that the TV box isn’t worth as much as its listed price. Therefore, as a marketing strategy, they bundle it with many free gifts.

Pros and Cons of SVI Cloud TV Box

If you use the SVICloud TV box to watch paid content for free, you have violated Malaysian law and could be fined.

You may be fined no more than RM100,000 or imprisoned for no more than 6 months if you use illegal TV boxes like this. It is also considered haram for fellow Muslim friends.

The Mi TV stick 4K, selling for RM200+, is a better TV stick if you don’t intend to use any illegal apps.

Pros of SVICloud TV box:

• Pay once, no monthly subscription
• Pre-installed karaoke app

Cons of SVICloud TV box:

• Illegal to use if you use it for pirated content
• Many channels are not working
• Constant buffering and lagging
• Very expensive compared to legal TV box

The common problems faced by SVI Cloud TV box users are as follows:

• Randomly crash and error
• Lagging/delay during peak hours
• Constantly buffering

Conclusion

Finally, I don’t recommend purchasing SVICloud TV boxes in 2022 since they are installed with apps that stream illegal content. For MCMC-approved TV boxes, Mi TV Stick 4K and Google Chromecast are better choices.
